Spreading Ramadan Warmth: KPB Distributes 3,300 Iftar Packages to Workers on the Balikpapan and Lawe-Lawe RDMP Projects

PT Kilang Pertamina Balikpapan (KPB) distributed 3,300 iftar packages to project workers in the Balikpapan and Lawe-Lawe RDMP areas through the Energizing Iftar On The Site program. This initiative is part of the company’s efforts to foster a sense of togetherness during the final phase of project completion and ongoing refinery operations throughout the month of Ramadan.

This program is intended for field workers who remain on duty to ensure the continuity of project work and refinery operations. Amid a dynamic work rhythm, the provision of iftar packages serves as a gesture of the company’s care and a means to strengthen camaraderie. During Ramadan, this activity is conducted regularly every week as a manifestation of the company’s commitment to spreading kindness within the workplace.

Asep Sulaeman, Vice President of Legal & Relations at PT KPB, stated that this program is a form of appreciation for all workers who continue to contribute to the completion of the national strategic RDMP Balikpapan project.

“Through ‘Energizing Iftar On The Site,’ we aim to ensure that all workers, especially those on the front lines, can feel the care and sense of togetherness during Ramadan. The success of this project stems from the dedication of everyone involved, and moments like this serve as the energy that strengthens our collective steps,” he said.

This program was carried out through cross-functional collaboration at PT KPB, involving various operational and project support teams—both in the Balikpapan and Lawe-Lawe areas—ensuring the activities ran smoothly and reached workers who remained on duty during Ramadan.

The warmth of Ramadan was also felt directly by the workers on-site. One subcontractor worker, Rayno, expressed his appreciation for the company’s care.

“Thank you to the Pertamina Balikpapan Refinery for providing iftar for us workers on-site. May this project always be blessed with smooth progress and blessings. Keep up the spirit, Pertamina Balikpapan Refinery,” he said.

Through the spirit of sharing during Ramadan, PT KPB hopes to continue fostering positive energy that motivates all company personnel to keep contributing, collaborating, and giving their best in the completion of the Balikpapan RDMP, while also supporting the strengthening of national energy resilience.
